The shape of the new buildings is conceived as an extruded metallic sculptural linear form that grows out of the site and appears as an extension of the surrounding contours and topography. This fractured external skin controls selected views out into the surrounding neighbourhood as well as capturing the critical views, aspect and solar penetration.

The materiality of the building enhances the conceptual three dimensional forms as well as a palette of colouration that mediates its diverse built context. This is achieved through the use of metallic metal sheeting on the exterior surface of the house with complementary colour steel roofs completing these homogenous monochromatic stand alone Houses.

The fenestration has been carefully placed to minimize reflectivity. Windows have either been deeply recessed into terraces and decks as well as beneath roof overhangs or deep set back into the angled walls.
